मनुष्यता
yesterday when i was teaching muaaz hindi literature and the chapter was named as manushyta which translates to humanity. The chapter was based on the idea that you are a good human if you help others, you're emphatic towards others, and you think of doing things for others before doing anything for yourself. Overall the chapter taught why selflessness is so important to attain peace in life,
BUT
do we actually attain peace while doing it? mmm see balance in everything is very important because exhaustion is a real thing in the world, if you keep on doing things for everyone maybe for a minute or a second your brain will once think that is this all worth it?, you can call it a lacking moment or a moment of truth if you prefer it, that moment is enough for the doubt to be introduced in your conscious that the way i am killing myself, my resources, my time; is this all worth; and maybe what all other things i could've done for myself or could've bought for myself.
There's also this quote "happiness watched is greater than happiness lived. So the answer to the above things can' be objective rather it's more of a subjective discussion.
