Inside the front cover
About this place
Lately is somewhere to keep a diary. It started with one question — what has been happening lately? — and never really grew past it.
Everyone here gets a notebook at their own address. Some entries are a paragraph written at midnight. Some are long and take a while to get to the point. Days someone built something and wanted to remember how. Days nothing happened and they wrote that down too.
How it works
You write entries. They stay drafts, private to you, until you publish them. Published ones appear on your notebook at /@yourhandle, and in the shared archive alongside everyone else's.
There are no comments, no reactions, no follower counts and no algorithm deciding what you see. The front page is simply whatever was written most recently.
What it isn't
Not a social network. Not a publishing platform with a growth team. Nothing here is optimised for an audience — if someone finds your writing useful, that's a happy accident rather than the point.
Set in a monospace typeface on a warm paper background, because that is what the inside of a notebook looks like.
